The mezuzah is inspired by a Hanukah Lamp from Marrakesh, Morocco, late 19th or early 20th Century. The ornaments often recall wood carvings and architectural elements typical of synagogues and mosques in Spain and North Africa. This practice was common among Jewish artists of Morocco, whose roots lay in pre-expulsion Spain and Portugal. The mezuzah measures 4 1/4″ L from point to point and is
1/2″ high x 3/4″ wide. It is available in the gold color as well as a silver color. The Klafim (scrolls) are sold separately.
